To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the Hong Kong Dance Movement Therapy Association (HKDMTA) is proud to present its first-ever conference:
"Dance Your Inner Voice: Explore the Healing Power of Movement."

本研討會旨在提高大眾對「舞蹈動作治療」Dance Movement Therapy (DMT）獨特性的認識，並強調其對心理與身體健康的整全效益。我們將展示 DMT 在不同群體中的應用，探討其心理學、神經生物學及人際互動機制，並分享如何將 DMT 創新應用於當代挑戰。此外，本研討會將作為一個專業交流平台，促進實務工作者、研究人員及相關專業人士之間的合作與知識共享。

This conference aims to raise public awareness about the unique aspects of Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) and its holistic approach to mental and physical well-being. We will highlight the growing body of evidence supporting DMT’s effectiveness across diverse populations, examine the psychological, neurobiological, and interpersonal mechanisms behind its success, and showcase innovative applications of DMT in addressing contemporary challenges. Additionally, this event will serve as a platform to connect practitioners, researchers, and allied professionals, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.

The conference will center around three key themes:
1️⃣ Foundations of Dance Movement Therapy
2️⃣ Evidence-Based Practice in Dance Movement Therapy
3️⃣ Applications Across Diverse Populations

透過主題演講、專家座談、體驗式工作坊及現場示範，參與者將全面了解 DMT 的轉化力量。本研討會將展示 DMT 如何應對各種挑戰，包括心理健康問題、身體復健、發展障礙、老年照護及社群療癒。為深化學習體驗，我們亦將於 2025 年 6 月舉辦國際 DMT 先驅的深入工作坊及線上講座。

我們歡迎來自不同領域的參與者，包括 DMT 實踐者、心理健康專業人士、醫療及輔助醫療專業人士、社工、教育工作者、研究人員，以及對「動作與療癒」交匯點感興趣的所有人士。

Through a dynamic mix of keynote speeches, panel discussions, research presentations, experiential workshops, and live demonstrations, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of DMT’s transformative power. The event will showcase how DMT addresses various challenges, including mental health conditions, physical rehabilitation, developmental disorders, geriatric care, and community healing. To deepen the learning experience, we will also offer in-depth workshops and webinars with international DMT pioneers throughout June 2025.

We welcome a diverse audience, including DMT practitioners, mental health professionals, allied health professionals, social workers, educators, researchers, and anyone interested in the intersection of movement and healing.

By the conclusion of this conference, we aim to:

Enhance public understanding of DMT’s role in holistic well-being
Strengthen the evidence base for DMT through shared research findings
Foster interdisciplinary collaborations
Inspire new applications of DMT in addressing societal challenges
Empower participants with practical skills and knowledge
